Our Mission

Goal: Support the educational attainment of migrant and seasonal farmworkers in targeted Arizona communities to improve their career and economic status.

About the program

The Maricopa High School Equivalency Program (MHEP) is a federally funded five-year discretionary grant from the Office of Migrant Education that assists migrant and seasonal farm workers and members of their immediate family earn their General Education Development (GED) certificate.

This program equips participants to enter postsecondary education or training programs, upgraded employment or the military. Participants are provided individualized instruction in small face-to-face classes, coaching and supportive services.

Instruction is performed at two offsite locations in Mesa and Avondale.
